You’ve come a long way, Esmé. The prodigal daughter has returned. Ex-Paper Bird vocalist, Esmé Patterson, played an in-store record store performance at Twist & Shout recently commemorating her latest release, “We Were Wild.”
If that wasn’t enough, the Portlandia resident started the “We Were Wild” tour in Denver, kicking things off at the Larimer Lounge on June 18. Maybe the Shakey Graves collaborator missed Casa Bonita?
On Patterson’s latest video, the delicate chanteuse dials in to a perfectly choreographed dance number with the help of her supporting cast. That’s before a rope bound Esmé leads the pack into the seeming frigid open water. Brrr.
