The sudden news behind the death of one of the all time greats has us reeling this morning. Prince left us too soon at the age of 57. For those of us touched by his music, we all have that one memory that incites a basket of emotions. My favorite one is in “Let’s Go Crazy.” The beginning part, despite it’s lack of tempo, provided a reprieve for dance partners on a sweaty club floor where you could get in a word or maybe a quick smooch. Many Friday and Saturday nights at bars and clubs across Cd. Juarez, Mexico, the music of Prince was inescapable. Buckets of small Coronas littered tall tables with wall to wall high school kids. Another great one is lost. Go out and support your favorite artists.
