Opening day for baseball is the unofficial beginning of spring. The chance for a snowstorm is highly likely here in Denver, but that doesn’t stop locals from getting out to shows and games. The Colorado Rockies have served as the doorstep of the MLB for too long. Almost ten years have passed since the magical run of 2007. Most of the faces from that team are long gone, namely Troy Tulowitzki. Tulo’s replacement, Trevor Story, is on pace to set baseball history with his monstrous beginning to the season homering in all three games. A feat that has never been achieved until the short stop sensation took the field in his first games under his belt. The proud Texan has big shoes to fill, but if Story’s trajectory manages to keep pace, the Rockies might have two golden glovers side by side.
