Blessthefall stopped by Summit Music Hall here in Denver last night for a show. Their most recent album, To Those Left Behind, was released last September and the band played several songs from that as well as some older ones. Over the course of the whole hour they played, the crowd was never still. From the very first song everyone was on their feet, jumping and singing along. Not a minute went by that someone wasn’t being held up in the air, crowdsurfing across the room. Vocalist, Beau Bokan had no issues getting everyone engaged and pumped up. Several times he went down into the front of the crowd as fans reached out towards him to grab the mic and belt their lyrics as loud as they could.
Blessthefall creates an atmosphere of such great energy and feeling, which was apparent by the engaged faces filling the venue. During “40 Days”, a song off their 2011 album Awakening, the voices in the crowd became louder than Beau’s. In that moment, I realized just how beloved Blessthefall is by their fans and it is apparent that they give it their all onstage, making a conscious effort to connect with every person who came to see them and hear their music. Last night was truly an awesome night for metal core fans here in Denver.
