British solo artist, Beth Orton, is back to her old tricks. The “coffee haus” star that created a stir with her jam, “Central Reservation,” and collaboration with the Chemical Brothers resurfaced with a new single and news of an upcoming album. Orton released her first single, “Moon,” off of the upcoming “Kidsticks,” scheduled for release via Anti- Records May 27. What’s exciting is the production team behind the latest effort which was co-produced by Andrew Hung (Fuck Buttons) and mixed by David Wrench (Caribou/Hot Chip). On Orton’s first taste of “Moon,” fans are treated to a dizzying digital array of glitchy production that gives new depth to an otherwise boring folktronica collaboration.
