Low releases gritty “Lies” video

Low

Low consistently churns out great music. Mostly flying under the radar, the SubPop act quietly released one of their more stellar releases of this fall with “Ones and Sixes” released in September. After twenty years, Low is anything but on ideas and energy. On the Minnesota act’s latest video directed by Manuel Aragon, the Denver based director tackles serious cultural issues near and dear to my heart. Aragon shot the video in West and Northwest Denver starring Diego Rodriguez and Jessica McMaster as a pair of starry eyed lovers wrestling with the demands and struggles of a biracial relationship. A video definitely worthy of more than the six minutes used to shoot the clip that could have easily turned into a short film. Look for Low to hit the road next month on a North American tour that will make their way to the Larimer Lounge.
