Ariana Grade, it’s time to put down the doughnut

Ariana, sometimes you have to know where your doughnut is glazed. You’re the heir apparent to Mariah Carey. You nail those high notes like Mimi once did back in the early 90s when she was crushing the world with “Emotions.” The torch has been passed to you, barring any silly mishaps at a neighborhood doughnut shop. You see, those AMERICANS are the same individuals shilling out cold hard cash for iTunes downloads and concert tickets. Not to mention fully supporting your career from the time you were on “Sam and Cat” when you were a mainstay on Nickelodeon. Now you have gone from pop starlet to devilish diva. The bitter irony is that your apology states that you’re an “advocate for healthy eating,” however, you were spotted in a doughnut shop. In the same apology, you lambaste the American public for child obesity. Maybe you could have not spun the story into an afternoon school special about the atrocities of sugar.

It’s estimated at this time that most humans in the United States of America by first grade have a smart phone that is fully capable of taking videos, photographs and recording conversations. In your level of celebrity, you have to be aware that someone is always watching. Maybe next time, don’t bite the hand that’s feeding your doughnuts. At the very least, don’t go around licking said doughnuts. Sorry to hear about the Major League Baseball game. Take solace in knowing that this will spare you the trip to participate in a meaningless game.

Ariana Grande: Tongues New Boyfriend & Donuts!!

Ariana Grande’s apology

“I am EXTREMELY proud to be an American and I’ve always made it clear that I love my country. What I said in a private moment with my friend, who was buying the donuts, was taken out of context and I am sorry for not using more discretion with my choice of words. As an advocate for healthy eating, food is very important to me and I sometimes get upset by how freely we as Americans eat and consume things without giving any thought to the consequences that it has on our health and society as a whole. The fact that the United States has one of the highest child obesity rate in the world frustrates me. We need to do more to educate ourselves and our children about the dangers of overeating and the poison that we put into our bodies. We need to demand more from our food industry. However I should have known better in how I expressed myself; and with my new responsibility to others as a public figure I will strive to be better. As for why I cannot be at the MLB show, I have had emergency oral surgery and due to recovery I cannot attend the show. I hope to make it up to all those fans soon. That being said let me once again apologize if I have offended anyone with my poor choice of words.
