Say it ain’t so, Alice Glass!?!? The Canadian duo have gone their separate ways with Alice Glass deciding to take her talents on the solo tip. I got my first taste seven years ago at a Puma Party in Austin during SX in an empty lot behind the Beauty Bar. There was a hand full of people and it was before noon. The least ideal place you would want to see Crystal Castles, however, they made it work. After successfully releasing three full lengths and a slew of singles, Alice has bid adieu to Crystal Castles. Below is her statement from Facebook:
I am leaving Crystal Castles.
My art and my self-expression in any form has always been an attempt towards sincerity, honesty, and empathy for others.
For a multitude of reasons both professional and personal I no longer feel that this is possible within CC.
Although this is the end of the band, I hope my fans will embrace me as a solo artist in the same way they have embraced Crystal Castles.
-Alice
No response from the other half, Ethan Kath, at this present time. However, an army of fans eagerly awaits a solo outing from Alice soon.
