Last night’s performance on Jimmy Kimmel live from Hot Chip has confirmed a notion that I have long believed to be true since I first saw the UK act open up for LCD Soundsystem last year. Hot Chip might be the best live act going right now. The Kimmel stage proved to be on the dwarfish side for the mammoth electronic beat thumpers. My only beef with last night’s performance was the dizzying camera shifting and the lack of enthusiasm from the Kimmel crowd. C’mon, guys. It’s ok to cut a rug.
