Hello Seahorse! continues to hold on to one of the “most exciting acts from Mexico” spots making the rounds. The Nacional Records stalwarts have released their first single, “La Flotadera,” off of their forthcoming album, “Arunima.” The release was recorded at the world famous Sonic Ranch in my hometown of El Paso. Beck, YYY and Bright Eyes have recorded their most recently. The new single feels a little more saccharine infused than previous releases, but with the shimmery voice from Denise Gonzalez, you’d be wishing for that sugar rush to last for a couple of days.
