Whitey + “Breaking Bad”

“Breaking Bad” spoiler alert! We can all agree that Bryan Cranston, aka Walter White, is possibly one of the best character actors on the big screen. Walt has increasingly turned more evil as each season passes playing the meth producing chemist and violent mastermind of a multimillion dollar business. The partnership with elder muscleman, Mike, has me shocked, but not suprised. More importantly, who’s the chick that Mike fails to kill at the end of last week’s episode? The beginning of last week’s episode has Walt and Mr. Pinkman scavenging throughout the house looking for that one ricin laced cigarette that was meant for Gus Fring. The cigarette scene was accompanied by the music of Whitey; an electro infused track that graced the Kitsune #4 compilation way back in 2007. Whitey is FINALLY getting his dues, albeit five years later. Hopefully the newfound fame will bode well for his new “Lost Summer” album released May 21 available via Bandcamp. “Lost Summer” plays very much as if the Rakes had ever progressed and took their sound to the next level mixing tempos and elevated instrumental play. Now if we can find a way to write Skyler out of the show, we’ll be in good shape.
