Never kick a dog when he/she’s down. That’s what Andrew Bynum did effectively with his infantile words about it being “easy” to close out teams when they have them on the ropes. His disconnect in last night’s Lakers v Nuggets NBA playoff game was one of pure disbelief and ambivalence. The have used that soundbite as a rallying cry for the last two games and have achieved when others said victory was only certain with a “star.” The role players on the Nuggets squad are playing above their expectations to the surprise of many fans. Saturday night will see the two Western Conference teams play a do or die final game and something tells me the two big guys, Gasol and Bynum, have their summer plans already penned in their itineraries starting Sunday morning.
