People make music for different reasons. Some people do it for the sheer love of making music with no expectations of making a genuine living off of their talent. Other musicians want to be on top of the world. But what happens if you get pigeonholed as a one hit wonder. Fun. has been playing off of “We Are Young” since last year and there’s no sign of stopping. I hope they prove all the critics wrong and craft an even catchier brain worm. When “We Are Young” comes to mind, I can never remember the beat and my brain gives up and starts running with “Love is a Battlefield.”
The Hives are one of the most entertaining and electric rock bands. All frills and you genuinely feel like the Swiss kids give it their 110%, despite their gimmicky outfits and balls to the wall demeanor.
