If I hadn’t told you that “Dour Percentage” wasn’t from Of Montreal, there’s a good chance you would’ve thought it could’ve been a B side from Electric Light Orchestra. I’m a massive Jeff Lynne fan and the energy that Of Montreal’s channeling on their latest album, “Paralytic Stalks,” evokes those extended medleys not heard nowadays. Not to mention some of the compositions used like in “Wintered Debts.” They’ll be hitting the road in support of the album that will bring them to my old stomping grounds of El Paso and also be playing SX.
