Anything that was going or that was going to happen this weekend was eclipsed by the sudden passing of one of the original divas, Whitney Houston. Her bouts with drug dependency ended up winning in the end and everybody’s looking at Bobby Brown as the main culprit to her deterioration. I know, I know, it takes two to tango, but it’s still a damn shame. The Whitney tribute by the Grammy’s was a classy number turned in by the svelte and extremely talented, Jennifer Hudson. Here’s a list of the winners from last night’s spectacle, but all you really had to know is that last tonight belonged to Adele. Her album, “21,” is a stunner from beginning to end and the release ended up winning some well deserved awards. I can safely say that after last night, I could probably do without seeing the Foo Fighters in any capacity and Foster the People turned in a snoozer cover of the Beach Boys. C’mon, guys. Show a little effort, you know, for the kids.
Rounding out the weekend is the tenth anniversary concert by the Kills and the intro by Zooey Deschanel on SNL.
