Magic Wands “Aloha Moon”
The time is approaching for SXSW 2012 to rear it’s crazy head and along comes the responsibility to make a list of acts that you’d like to catch. You could do what my friend Nick does and just show up at parties and hope that he catches something he might like. I consider myself to be spontaneous, however, I like knowing that my trip to Austin wasn’t a complete waste of time. Husband and wife duo from Magic Wands, Chris and Dexy Valentine, have crafted “Aloha Moon,” set to be released worldwide via Bright Antenna Records on April 24. No official SX dates have been set, but the two will be in Austin. The first taste off of “Aloha Moon” stays with the cosmic theme with the first single, “Space.” A hazy slow jam that catapults into a steamy state of illicit love behind the seductive vocals from Dexy Valentine.
