Portishead made their victory lap across North America playing their last show here in Denver. Beth Gibbons and Co. did their best to refresh everybody’s collective memories of what most had missed in the nineties. One of the pioneers of trip hop manipulated their haunting beats with a massive black and white screen depicting roaring waves and odometers from time to time. Multi-instrumentalist, Geoff Barrow, did his best as providing the adhesive for the legendary Bristol group. All hits most fans were expecting were performed from “Sour Times” to a floor thumping “Machine Gun.”
