Do you remember when I told you guys a couple of weeks ago that Empire of the Sun was going to make a new album? NME is reporting that Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore have reunited to create a second EOTS album. This piece of news is of great joy to me and to fans across the globe that have been anxiously awaiting a second album that most thought wasn’t going to come due to Littlemore’s involvement with PNAU and participation in Cirque du Soleil. The Red Rocks show a couple of months ago where EOTS headlined the first night of Global Dance Fest was one of my favorite live shows of 2011. Hands down. Their over the top theatrics and close attention to detail made the experience one of the most enjoyable live shows.
