Denver AFTERDARK Music Festival ::: Review in Photos
After spending nearly two months on the grind for the festival, watching the Denver kids come out and support the festival was very inspiring and incredible.A huge thanks to all performers and those that attended and participated. There was so much going on and WHOMP TRUCK brought the noize all night and the night started right with SAUNA rewarding all the early attendees over at the Larimer. I had a chance to catch up with half of SAUNA and be on the look out for some new releases before the end of the year. The Flobots stage created a perfect atmosphere for the one man R E A L M A G I C show that saw Drew Englander doing a Robyn cover while dancing amongst the crowd. The food trucks didn’t disappoint with Alvie’s Eats, Quiero Arepas and the miscellaneous Taco Truck holding down the eats portion of the night all night long. The festival wouldn’t have happened without Peter Black, a true Denver gem that continues to grind. I expect him to go into hibernation for a minute, and by a minute, I mean two weeks. I don’t think he knows how to sit still. I expect Man Cub to continue to kill the scene and can’t wait for new material. I’m convinced London Dungeon’s massive beats killed the bass in the Meadowlark inside. Collateral damage, of course.
