My rabid interest in music piqued when my love for Gomez and Wilco started around the summer of 98 or 99. My copy of “Bring it On” barely plays anymore because I had listened to it so much and to this day, one of this best debut albums every made. It’s hard to believe that it’s been more than ten years. The contrast of vocals from Ian and Ben was always my favorite aspect of the band and they’ll be coming through. Despite my affinity for the UK band, I’ve never caught a proper Gomez show. I saw them at ACL, Mile High Music Festival, Monolith and a solo Ian Ball show, but never a dedicated show. I’ve probably mentioned this, but after a good night out, “Tijuana Lady,” soundtracked the drive home as a sign of good luck.
