I’m a sucker for anything Joy Division/New Order related. In the last couple of weeks, two New Order covers have made their way to my inbox. The first comes from autoKratz, a duo that probably would’ve found their way on the “Trainspotting” soundtrack or “Amp” MTV compilation. They’re supporting their second album, ‘Self Help for Beginners,” out on Bad Life/!K7 on 20th June. The second comes from Duncan Sheik. I hadn’t heard or seen anything from him in a minute, but the mustachioed troubadour has put his spin on a bunch of classic 80’s tracks. One of which is New Order’s, “Love Vigilantes.” He slows it down a bit, but you can judge for yourself over here. The “”Covers 80s” album will hit the streets this Tuesday, June 7th.
