Summer is literally around the corner, and for locals that can only mean one thing. The Westword Music Showcase is this Saturday, June 17. Of the headliners, I’m most excited to see the Condo Fucks Yo La Tengo because of their extensive discography and ambitious live shows. I went through a YLT phase that lasted almost a full year that curiously started with the “Today is the Day” EP. A late bloomer if you will. Chromeo will be closing the house down, but the real magic starts early. Like NOON early, when SAUNA plays the Broadway’s. The all day affair happens in and around 12th and Acoma. Might be a good time to dust off the ol’ bicycle.
