New Music Monday from Ladytron ::: Calvin Harris feat. Kelis ::: SebastiAn feat. M.I.A.
Lots of new items to get through this morning and I love the collabos from today’s selections. Calvin Harris has long been talking about some big work with a couple of American songbirds. Katy Perry was rumored to have been that songbird, however, the job went to Kelis. The results are in (following the David Guetta formula of course) and they’re FM ready track is begging to get the remix treatment. The two left an empty canvas to be re-worked and further collaborations from Calvin Harris should be coming our way.
Ladytron’s new album, “the Great Seducer,” will see the light of day Sept. 13th on Netwerk records, however, they’ve given us a sample of the lead single, “White Elephant.” Nothing unordinary about the new material, except for the fact that it’s a bit tame by Ladytron’s standards.
Lastly, SebastiAn from the Ed Banger crew has teamed up with M.I.A. to create, “C.T.O.” We hope that M.I.A. takes the song to heart and learns to CTFO and bury the hatchet with Diplo to start working on a new LP. Speaking of which, SebastiAn will be releasing his first LP, “Total,” May 30th on Ed Banger. (via PMA)
