Alright class, raise your hand if you’re NOT going to be releasing anything new for Record Store Day? That should be the better question. It seems like everybody’s cashing in on the record industry’s Christmas equivalent for mass spending by music fans everywhere. Not to be left out, Nada Surf has announced that they will be releasing, “The Moon Is Calling,” a limited edition 7-inch of two unreleased demos. The guys have also stated that they will be hitting the studio to put together a Fall 2011 release of new material. Here’s to hoping that they can rekindle “the Blizzard of 77.” Record Store Day is April 16th and you can get a list of participating retailers here.
