Buddy Holly’S 75th Birthday

One of the most famous Texans, Buddy Holly, would’ve been 75 this year had he not hopped on that horrible little commuter plane in Iowa with the Big Bopper and Ritchie Valens (NO, NOT MY RITCHIE). A special compilation album has been put together by music supervisor, Randall Poster (past works include projects with: Wes Anderson, Martin Scorsese and Todd Haynes), with a list of contributions by some heavy hitters. You can get the latest on the release here and pick it up on June 28th via Fantasy/Concord. BTW, I never saw “The Buddy Holly Story” with crazy guy, Gary Busey. I might have to change that pretty fast.
