The GetSchooled! benefit that I told you guys about earlier last week came to fruition on Friday night and plenty of special guests made a splash with the kids at Denver’s George Washington High School.Sway from MTV showed up to help emcee the event alongside Lala Vasquez and her husband, New Jersey Net New York Knick Denver Nugget, Carmelo Anthony. Friday’s event was more than just having special guests just make an appearance. Each guest spoke about the importance of education, how it’s allowed for them to further their careers, and the need to finish high school to make the next step to college. Lala’s partner from the ATL, Ludacris played a small set bringing all the kids to stampede the stage. The message was not lost and only further echoed by Luda to the high schoolers to finish their four years to better themselves, and to prepare themselves for the next step in their lives.
