Nacional Records Celebrates the Mexican Bicentennial With New Release “BiMexicano”

Most people associate Cinco de Drinko Cinco de Mayo as being the Mexican holiday that recognizes a day of Independence. When in fact, the day is more of a fabricated holiday, much like some of the other holidays we observe here in the US as a marketing ploy to make some quick bucks. In actuality, Cinco de Mayo is the win in the Battle of Puebla over the French. El 16 de Septiembre (16th of September) is the true day of independence celebrated in Mexico. To commemorate the Bicentennial, Nacional Records will be releasing, “BiMexicano: Nuestros Clasicos Hechos Rock” which celebrates 200 years of independence in the form of music. Look for the album to hit stores digitally Sept 7th.
