The collaboration of Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse birthed, Dark Night of the Soul, and along with the collaboration came a time of heartache and waiting. The heartache being the tragic passing of Mark Linkous and the waiting being the lengthy legal fight w/EMI that has passed. The album boasts a a roster of who’s who in indie rock with James Mercer of The Shins, The Flaming Lips, Gruff Rhys of Super Furry Animals, Jason Lytle of Grandaddy, Julian Casablancas of The Strokes, Frank Black of the Pixies, Iggy Pop, Nina Persson of The Cardigans, Suzanne Vega, Vic Chesnutt, David Lynch, and Scott Spillane of Neutral Milk Hotel and The Gerbils. You’d have to be sold on listening to the album after reading that incredible lineup. The S/T album was released last month (you can purchase it here) and I have a DELUXE VINYL GIVEAWAY to give to one lucky reader.  All you have to do is tell me what movie director had a hand in the project. Should be an easy one, right? All you have to do is send me your answer via Twitter @Causeequalstime or email ( [email protected]).  The winner will be chosen at random, so good luck!
