NPR ran a story about Women Who Rock in Spanish. It got me thinking that the list of women I love in Spanish music is minuscule compared to their English counterparts. In the list of women that NPR mentions, they managed to target some of my favorite artists like Julieta Venegas and Andrea Echeverri. One of the female artists also included is Argentinean, spazz/folk artist, Juana Molina. The Domino recording artist will be in Denver on Friday as part of a panel titled “Future Folk” for the Biennial of the Americas at the McNichols building in downtown Denver. She will also be playing the following night in Boulder at the Fox.

Ace stuff, Juana is just brilliant!
Looking forward to this.
Also, have you heard Natalia Clavier? She’s amazing. Also check out Pilar Diaz and Ceci Bastida.
Es la morra de Federico Aubele, no? Natalia is on Thievery Corp’s record label if I’m not mistaken. Love her album!
Si and she sings for Thievery’s live show.
