Diego Garcia won my heart when he howled as lead vocalist for the now defunct NYC band, Elefant. That seems like ages ago; back in the day when Stellastar and Longwave were ruling school. The departure in the NYC rock sound for the Argentinean on the newest single, “You Were Never There”, is what you will first notice. It’s a welcomed change for a back to his roots type sound, honing in on South American elements so clearly absent from his time with Elefant. Look for his debut LP to hit the stands early next year.
