I have some friends that climb 14’ers on a regular basis. We’re talking weekly. Like some real “Cliffhanger” type shizz. Rock-slides. Cold weather. Adrenaline pumping. Alright, you get the idea. I rode my bike last Saturday for a grand total of twelve miles and I felt like I was on top of the world. Granted, most of it was city riding, not to be compared to mountain biking. For lovers of the outdoors, and film enthusiasts, tomorrow night is a chance to take in an amazing journey on film and meet the filmmaker in the process. The new film, “180º South: Conquerors of the Useless“, documents the travels of Yvon Chouinard and Doug Tompkins from California to Patagonia by outdoor enthusiast/photographer, Jeff Johnson. It doesn’t hurt that the film boasts a great Soundtrack with the likes of Ugly Cassanova , James Mercer, Mason Jennings, and Jack Johnson. You can watch the movie on the big screen tomorrow night in Boulder. See below for more details.
