Flashlights is party of a burgeoning scene here in Colorado that seem to be feeding off of each other that keeps on building higher and higher. It’s a very exciting time and it feels like this is just the beginning with so many great acts that are beginning to surface ’round these parts. Flashlights is an electronic duo creating music that could be easily mistaken as the offspring of Junior Boys, but not one thing sets them apart. The same downtempo type beats are there, however, the vocals are more soulful and heartfelt, as oppose to the vapor like sweet nothings that Junior Boys whisper. Despite only having one EP of material to enjoy (you can download their EP over here), the release has tons of promise and you locals can catch them open up for The Don’t and Be Carefuls on May 26th at the Meadowlark.
