The year was 2003. Josh Schwartz had put together one of the best hours of television in “the O.C.”. Rooney was credited with the theme song and all things that “the O.C.” touched, turned to gold. Musically, that is. Lord knows that all the kids on the show have been in shit movies since the demise of the series, except for “Ryan”. He got shit on by Jay Leno’s crap show, much like Conan. Back to Rooney. Rooney’s Robert Schwartzman’s new solo side project , SOLOBOB ,has all the makings of a funny SNL short , mixed with everything that felt so right about the 80’s. The video was shot by his cousin, Roman (as in Coppola), and SOLOBOB will be releasing videos along with each song (figure one new song & video every three weeks).
