The triumphant return of the Chilangos to Denver came to a beyond packed house. The duo are touring in support of their latest album, 11:11 via ATO Records. Truth be told, I thought they were a one album wonder. A flash in the pan with no hope of staying power; I was proven wrong. The thunderous approach by the two on their acoustic guitars was like watching two heart surgeons perform a quadruple bypass surgery without blinking an eye. The intensity by the two during their performance was a bit overwhelming because I wasn’t use to that kind of drive or focus by any performer on stage, ever. I had caught them at a music festival a while ago and wasn’t able to grasp their entire show like the one at the Temple Buell Theatre. I’m convinced that the two should be wearing gloves while performing live because of how hard they strum their guitars and they will be touring into October.
