Crocodiles are a duo from the SoCal noise/rock scene (see Mika Miko, Dum Dum Girls, etc) that are grabbing the attention of many with their cooler than thou demeanor and better sounding drum machines than you would expect. It doesn’t hurt that lead man Brandon Welchez danced around stage in a bit of an awkward dance that resembled and epileptic tirade or that weird part in Garden State where Natalie Portman starts dancing all funny. Their music live sounds like what you would expect old vinyl to sound like (crackle and all) and don’t pay attention to their misleading song titles, like Summer of Hate (obvious love song) , I Wanna Kill (probably in the name of amor), and Neon Jesus (ode to the big guy).
