Rubies

It’s so easy to hate a group like Rubies. Great coffeehouse sounding music in the same vain as Feist. Perhaps it sounds too safe. But when you have friends like Feist, Erlend Øye, and Devendra Banhart to sing on your album or on stage, you’ve kind of hit the big time. The album is a throwback to easy listening with a heavy emphasis on 70’s female driven singer songwriter tunes with a touch of funk and electronic element for good measure.
