Van She
I’m going to change this site to Cause=Modular, I swear, with all the info from Modular that gets put up on this site. The blokes will be releasing their album forthcoming album, V, the 12th and you can purchase it here. As insipid as some of these bands, and by “these” bands, I’m referring to synth-rock, tongue-in-cheek (c’mon, they have two chicks making a V with their fingers and sticking their tongue through the V), there’s a degree of substance to the music. I was thrown back from the surprise. I’m not talking Bob Dylan by any means, but their was legitimate thought put forth , instead of your normal, “let’s dance” blah blah blah.

Those fearless explorers of new-wave and post-punk, Van She, are set to pop their album cherry THIS SATURDAY when debut album V is released nationwide. Van She’s debut record is on the surface, simply fun, catchy pop songs, while below the album is full of secrets, signs and symbols. Featuring the psychedelic whirlpool that is Cat & The Eye, the pumping post-disco of Strangers and the uplifting dance anthem Changes next to the reborn version of their classic track Kelly, the band have leapt for the clouds but landed on the moon, exceeding all expectations.
If you head over to Van She’s MySpace you can stream the album and have your first taste. It’s also being broadcast around the country on JJJ as their Album Of The Week. You can order Van She’s debut, V from iTunes or JB HIFI – and for only twenty clams for the CD, there is no reason not to!
Gearing up for what is set to be a huge 2008, the Sydney lads are celebrating the release of their debut album ‘V’ by hitting the road with their next instalment of what’s quickly becoming everyone’s favourite party du jour….. a Van She Party! They started the party last weekend at Splendour In The Grass:
“Thanks to everyone who came to our show at Splendour In The Grass and thanks to all the people who looked after us… Always a fun festival to play and a good excuse to take the weekend off up the coast. Didn’t expect to sell out of merch so quick so to those who missed out you can order online or just come to one of the shows on our album tour starting end of August….”

Party hard…
