WALL-E
Is it possible for a feature length cartoon that is targeted as a children’s movie and summer blockbuster make you feel empty inside and sob like a teenage girl that had just been dumped on prom night? I watched Wall-E yesterday it was a wake up call as far as the direction of where our society is headed and what will happen if we don’t change our ways. It just seems everywhere we read, bad news is prevalent. I know catastrophe’s have been happening for a long time, since the beginning of time even.
Wall-E was one of the greatest love stories I had seen in a very long time and in many respects had many comparisons to the very underrated Idiocracy. Both movies showed both societies being run by a conglomerate company ala Sam’s Club/Costco. The latest film from Pixar has pushed boundaries to new levels and set their own bar higher on the imagination scale. This feature length is made for adults IMHO. Peter Gabriel also contributed to the film’s soundtrack with this song below….
