DENVER POST UNDERGROUND MUSIC SHOWCASE
I’m starting to have flashbacks from SXSW. It’s the schedule anxiety. There’s literally over 100 bands playing up and down Broadway in a SXSW fashion. There’s tons of bands I NEED to catch. I’m participating in a photo show where some of the shots I’ve taken at shows will be on display downstairs at the Three Kings Tavern. Check it out and on both days, not only do we have entertainment, but we have free beer too, so no excuses. Come on in, wet your whistle. Make you schedules here.
Chikita Violenta
My favorite non-Canadian band to be friends with the Arts & Crafts label, Chikita Violenta, has released one of the most nostalgic and endearing videos for their single “Laydown”. The group used El Guero’s family footage from the 70′s. Now that’s being pretty resourceful.

This Summer is a bit hard to escape Lil Wayne’s Lollipop joint, seriously, every time I turn it to the Hip-Hop stations, it’s on! My question is, why does Lil Wayne always have to use a vocoder? Seriously, he’s not Cher! More importantly, Game’s LAX needs to drop NOW!
