The earnestness behind this album from South Carolina’s Run Dan Run is hard to dispute. The male/female melodies alone make it worth the price of admission. The album’s sound at times is reminiscent of what you would come to expect from a 10 piece collective, however, when you think you have their sound pinned down, they sucker punch you with a left hook in the form of some fiddle. They won’t be coming through Denver, but you can catch them out East somewhere.
