I have to say that I’m happy for the guys of Vampire Weekend. Despite a subzero evening, and plenty of other shows going on (Iron and Wine & Aimee Mann) there was a strong showing . It was looking pretty bad for Good Ole’ Party. They showed up at the last minute, literally. They just showed up and hopped up on stage. The kids were all dancing and getting into the future grooves of the upcoming album from Vampire Weekend to be dropped on XL late January.
Dave from Leather Canary was in town and we caught the show and I must say that we were dressed appropriately for the show, collared shirts and sweaters. One valuable lesson I did learn was that Hot Sake and Tequila make for the most fatal of hangovers. As I type this post, my head is still spinning.

I saw them here last week, didn’t like them much.
