I forgot to mention this in yesterday’s post. John Wenzel from the Denver Post had an excellent interview with Elizabeth Powell, vocalist/guitar for Land of Talk. Now for my experience. Miss Powell has a voice that you would follow to the end of the world. It’s beautiful. Beautiful in the way sunsets are beautiful and you just want to sit , look and admire for hours. A lot of people in the crowd early on dismissed the group, but quickly came to their senses. Land of Talk’s music functioned much like the Pied Piper and the crowd was latched. You read about bands like this one in particular, hyped by reputable blogs, and you have to question their motives, however, Land of Talk lives up the hype and then some. Their music translated well live, fuzzy effects and all.
