Greenland

Flattery is everything. I guess that depends on who you ask. If done right, the results could be pretty tremendous or triumphant disaster. Take Greenland for example. Their new album, Call Message, has Malkmus guitar riffs, and Malkmus-esque vocals all over the board. The effort is not entirely Pavement, however, their are times that the album plays like late 80’s Sonic Youth in terms of the distortion. I guess if you’re going to pick somebody to emulate, why not two of the best bands in the history of modern music. The album lackadaisically will be released June 22nd and you can purchase it here .
