Last night marked the first big show for Denver band Le Ballet. I am very pleased with their performance for several reasons. Their music first and foremost speaks for itself. That said, there were a little quips that are going to be ironed out with experience, playing more shows, and more patience. My only beef is that they weren’t sloppy per say but , they were just very antsy, throwing off their rhythm and style. This is constructive criticism and meant to be taken lightly, because on the bright side, the music is what it boils down to in the end, and that is what will carry them across the threshold. I liked their energy and at times I felt like as if Brandon Flowers were on stage, and the stage presence will come in due time.
