Last night was the first night I have ever had to go to two different venues to make two shows. I went above and beyond and achieved the impossible. Going from one end of Broadway to another…. In the end, I was kind of rewarded, but more on that later. Now for the psychedelia that is known as The Besnard Lakes. I had no idea that these guys were from Canada and heavy on the jams. I came away with a very valuable lesson. I don’t know names, so I’ll just use descriptions. The Honkey Tonk lookin’ fella had his way with lots of reverb and he was doing some crazy licks using his whammy bar and everybody in the crowd hypnotized. Not to mention the fact that there was three guitars, one bass, two keyboards, and one drum set. You do the math.
