And like that Day 1 is over. I would have to say that the first day was a resounding success despite the rain, the fog, humidity, and more rain. It was like that scene in Forest Gump because at times it would come down strong, other times it was just sprinkling, other times it was a mist, and so on and so on…. I was able to meet with Chris and Dodge at the party, and seriously some of the nicest guys I’ve ever met…..needless to say, the party was a smash. The couple of bands that I saw here were top notch, and the best thing was that I had never seen any of them live, or really listened to their music, making it that much more special. Early Greyhound was swampy, dirty and had this really cool Lenny Kravitz vibe going, but funkier and grittier….As for Headlights, I was thoroughly impressed with the vocals and piano…and Peter and the Wolf was all over the map. Dude is no joke, playing a cello of sorts, guitar, and at times I felt I was eating in this Middle Eastern restaurant….Amazing!
