Macromantics
Little word has been spread about this Aussie hip hopper, with Lady Sov and Lily Allen commanding most of the attention. This album is being slept on by most and deserves some attention. From Kill Rock Stars :
“Australian rapper and word weaving wizard macromantics took the heartbeat she was born with, and turned it into music. From an early age, she was drawn to the world of sine waves. At the age of 15, she was asked to tour with Ben Lee’s teenage pop-punk pack Noise Addict, as a guitarist and it was during this journey that she discovered the essence of Hip Hop. “

Keep Kids Dancing
This post is nowhere near groundbreaking, nor am I trying to tread new water. Some may know about Erol Alkan. He is a DJ/Remixer from the UK that you probably have heard of but never noticed.
In a world where everybody can be a DJ or Remixer, a few set themselves apart from the pack. Such is the point with Erol. You always see him remixing some of the illest tracks from your favorite artists, but rarely is he recognized for his great work, at least Stateside. None that I have read about recently.

Foreign Islands
Ghettoclash. I have never heard this sub genre of music before but it’s here. Just like new rave. All adjectives above appropriately define who FOREIGN ISLANDS are and who they are going to support on tour, Shout Out^4 and Young Knives. I WILL BE CATCHING THESE GUYS AT SXSW, FOR SURE!!!

This group is as teen rawk as it gets. Be Your Own Pet has nuthin!!! on these kids from the UK that aren’t old enough to drink State-side yet. From their bio:
Londoners Cajun Dance Party might not yet be old enough to drink, but that doesn’t stop them from doing their own glorious take on bar-room indiepop, sounding like a Jack Daniels-infused scrap between Clap Your Hands Say Yeah and Mystery Jets in a Soho drinking den.” DIY
and based on their influences below from their MySpace page, you have to be curious, right?

New Young Pony Club
Pt. II of a newer younger version of Irish band Pony Club that’s from the UK. These rawker/new wavers are making it safe for kids to DANCE!!! and if one of their songs sounds familiar, it probably is because it was used on an Intel commercial.
