This weekend was a blur, and I should have written this on Saturday. EAOD’s performance in front of a sold out Hi-Dive crowd on anniversary night is everything everybody could have asked for. It was the highlight of my night because it seems that the more this group plays, the better their live show gets, and they managed to get me into my least favorite track, Closer Than You Think Pt. 1, off of their album The Soft Civil War. I always skipped that track, and Friday night, they managed to keep to make me a believer. IMHO this band can do no wrong, because they are playing for all the right reasons, and the only thing I can think of that would make this group any better would be to incorporate some type of female vocals or backups on some of the songs. And why not, there are already seven on the stage, I’m sure they would be more than happy to make room for one more.
