Nobody leaves baby in the corner, NOBODY!
I meant to write about this a couple of weeks ago, but I haven’t really had a chance until now. I have one of those movie delivery services and I decided to take upon myself to watch a load of really bad movies when I was growing up that I would have never fathomed watching at the time, but I have deemed it is TIME to catch up on old times. Road House is the first in a series that I hope to continue on following up with from time to time. I must admit that this notion was provoked by reading said Chuck Klosterman book. I don’t understand how some Philosophy Major from NYU is supposed to be this sensitive kind of guy, but at the flip of a switch he starts kicking ass and taking names. In the process, he wins the heart of the local hottie (the attending physician in the ER), and manages to turn the rat infested Double Deuce into a thriving club. This movie has a ton of great dialogue that is very reminiscent of really bad 80’s movies. And while looking for a clip on Youtube, I have been informed that there is not only one but two sequels to this classic. WOW!!! That’s a lot of ROADHOUSE. On a side note, the past couple of days my MP3 playing device kind of wigged out on me, but in a good way. It was initially playing my recently added playlist and switched to all songs. From that point, it switched back to another playlist, and went back to playing shuffled songs, but all GOOD MUSIC that I haven’t listened to, or atleast don’t remember listening to. I’m afraid to unplug it and have it play bad music. So for right now, it’s staying in my ride.
