I feel as if I didn’t do any of the bands justice that I was fond of by not writing enough at the time. God knows that I wanted to, but time did not permit and for the next couple of days I will be recapping all the good bands that I saw. Divsion Day was one of them and I don’t think I gave them enough credit when I saw them. They were very visible at the Fader house and they left the same morning I left JFK from the Jet Blue terminal. Their set was incredibly earnest and heartfelt. I overheard somebody say that they sounded whiny, but I guess that’s like their opinion, man. I feel that their album is solid from start to finish and it is important to pay close attention to the songwriting.

This song is from the upcoming album So Divided , and I am very disappointed. I love Conrad, and even their last album that everybody panned, I stood faithful. I can no longer do so. I tried in listening in different settings and nothing seems to do the job. I picked the best song off of the album IMHO and maybe in time and after a couple more listens I will change my mind. The music just seems like the tired old arrangements they have been trying to pawn off for the last 8 years. It almost felt like something that should be on the token alternative radio station in any given town. I just was expecting more and came up empty handed.
